The Old Faiths...
how were they different than monotheisms?
There are ONLY snippets of the old faiths, and no way to know how it was really understood or used….But i have a working hypothesis, that there was , in far distan times a Very advanced human understanding of the Cosmos. Here i am going to lay out, some of the possibilities i see may have been the case. I will addres the Norse Mythos because, it is the most complete , Thanks to our friends in Iceland who preserved the poetry as an ART.
……………………………………………………………… “In Norse mythology, Járngreipr (iron grippers) or Járnglófar (iron gauntlets) referred to the famous iron gloves of Thor which helped him to grip his hammer, the mighty Mjolnir. Together with the hammer and the belt Megingjörð, Járngreipr was one of the three most important possessions that Thor owned, and further enhanced the god’s strength and power.
The exact origins of Járngreipr are unknown, but it’s known that Thor wore these
when he had to use his hammer which had an unusually short handle. (How long does a battery terminal need to be?) So, it’s probable that they came into existence solely to assist Thor in this task. ” Thor is using a battery, or electricity. It has a positive and a negative glove of Iron, and is grounded by the BELT of the earth. The thunder god is directing CHARGE. He explains why and how and it has becone archetypal, so humans have had this for many thousands of generations (it takes this to become such a potent energy).
The (9 realms also may easily refer to the 9 Dimensions)… The Irish refer to the “other worlds” and the Fairy star has 9 points.points of existence in the other worlds. … My hunch is that we ARE multidimensional beings and Our Consciousness, Imagination and such potent things as love Also Exist in a solid form IN these other dimensions at the same time as our bodies are HERE, and limited to this one.
This is why the Norse faiths understood seven other parts of the soul–the seven other dimensions Plus the parts we experience here! It is brilliant. It is complete.
If , as some now, are starting to suspect, the stars ARE gateways to the other dimensions…then the Journey of the soul parts through the cosmos (via the gateways of the dog star and Orion’s Belt) spoken of by the Ancient Egyptians and the Ancient east coast Native North American tribes may actually be truth. Keeping thing this Information Occult was a herculean effort, across time and space, clearly intended to (since knowledge is power) seep the shadow power structure that now drives and warps us in place.
In monotheism there is a gordian knot….An absolute requirement that you Not question , in order to be accepted in the community. A threat of hellfire and damnation for all eternity, but for the grace of the One Distant God That you must believe loves you and that you are helpless to question or save yourself From. A mental prison, as sure as you’re born. A head space that will never allow contentment or satisfaction ….because perfection of faith is required admittance. Murdering an active part of yourself, the curiosity part, the one that questions…..that is what is hanging on the cross. So many of our ancestors were destroyed to do so, i think it is time we take it back.
One of my greatest mentors says this in his book , ·
“And throughout human habitation of Earth millions of people have used this innate capacity to gather information from the heart of the world. It is what all deep Earth peoples have done throughout time, from the indigenous peoples who learned the uses of plant medicines without recourse to reductionism or linear thinking to Einstein. And all who have spoken of how they learned what they learned described in their own words, the same process McClintock has. What they describe is in fact a different kind of thinking, the kind of thinking that Einstein was urging us to adopt in order to address the problems facing us. And rather than being linear, reductive thinking what occurs is holistic thinking, a kind fo thinking that the artists who best know it have named analogical thinking.”

The linear brain cannot perceive wholes—or insides. And the more the brain is used as the primary organ of perception, the more life is reduced. It becomes merely an expression of mechanical forces with no intelligence or purpose, and all life forms are judged and valued depending on their capacity for this kind of analytical processing. Descartes’ famous dictum, “I think, there I am,” affirms as well its opposite: If you do not think, you are not.
What does education often do? It makes a straight-cut ditch of a free, meandering brook. Henry David Thoreau
People who intuitively know the importance of feelings, who use the heart as an organ of perception, receive little cultural support for this ancient mode of cognition. Their observations are routinely denigrated, and nonlinear thinkers have spent centuries attempting to prove that there is, in fact, another route to perception of the world than that offered up by the brain.
